Been following along the journey for a few years now and recently just picked up my first pair of Japanese selvedge, coincidentally they happened to be from Japan Blue Jeans! Awesome to see that the staff and the shrine of fades as that only makes me appreciate my pair from the brand even more.

Being in Tokyo makes you realize how poorly you dress day-to-day. If you don’t have some style or drip, you stick out even more as a tourist. Going to a skyscraper mall and buying a nice outfit for the first time really felt great. I blended in much better afterwards too.

I’ve been to NYC and Japan within the last year and I was absolutely blown away by the style of literally everyone it Tokyo. It’s next level class. It gave me so much inspiration and made me realize I need to step out of my comfort zone clothing wise

As a New Yorker, I agree. HOWEVER!!!! What’s bringing us down are the transplants lmao. The people in Tokyo are usually from there. New York has too many people from all over and they’re usually coming from places that aren’t known for fashion so that doesn’t help

I lived in Japan for three years. Tokyo is amazing with their fashion, but Japan and general is very unique and intentional with their fashion.
